Meet the Turners.
The Turner family is the Australian dynasty behind Turner Corp, a luxury goods empire. They own glamorous homes on every continent, globetrot by private jet and super yacht, have a MoMA-quality art collection and mingle with fellow celebrities and supermodels.
When the patriarch passes away, his family gathers to discuss his estate. Tensions rise when an illegitimate heir arrives and the weekend ends in tragedy: one family member is dead, and another is fighting for their life.
Skye, who married into the Turner family, is uneasy in her husband’s world but trying to maintain a normal life for their young daughter. The tragedy blows her world apart and leads her to question her marriage and everything she thought she knew about her in-laws.
Meanwhile Mei, the detective who takes on the homicide investigation, finds her superiors keen to close the case swiftly. When she starts pulling on the threads, she realises she might spark the unravelling of an empire…
A gripping thriller with sumptuous settings, breathless plotting and twists you won't see coming - you'll stay up all night to race to the end.

Advance praise.
“An artfully plotted thriller that masterfully delivers unexpected twists to keep readers hooked until its satisfying conclusion…Paris avoids clichés, tropes, and stereotypes, and deftly crafts well-developed characters who leap from the page. Beautiful descriptions of urban and rural landscapes add a literary richness to this page-turning thriller, establishing Paris as an author to watch in the world of domestic noir literature."

“Rachel Paris comes blazing onto the scene with this pulse pounding, whodunnit crime thriller. This is a claustrophobic, unpredictable, must-read psychological thriller with a banger of an ending.
Do not miss this!”

“If you like mentally travelling to glamorous destinations for family and relationship drama with the possibility of murder sprinkled in, à la The White Lotus, you will love See How They Fall by Rachel Paris.”
― People Magazine
“Rachel Paris brings a calculating intelligence to her debut novel, a reliably twisty psychological thriller. See How They Fall takes knowing cues from Succession as it delves into the dense tangles of ambition and deceit within a luxury-goods dynasty whose famous patriarch recently died…Between the curt prose, closed setting and ticking clock, this is one frightfully-effective page-turner. ”
― Apple Books Review
“I loved this book! It was my favourite summer read — a juicy, thrilling whodunnit that had me questioning who to believe and how well you can ever really know someone.”

“The White Lotus fans need to read [See How They Fall].”
— BookBub
“[See How They Fall] captures the same mix of dark humor, intrigue, and biting social commentary that The White Lotus delivers so well.”
— Brit + Co
“Beautifully evoked, pacy and unpredictable.”
― Rose Carlyle, internationally bestselling author
“Set against a vividly rendered Australian backdrop, the novel thrives on its breakneck pacing and layered twists.
The story’s strength lies in its unrelenting suspense, exposing how wealth and legacy breed corruption. Familial alliances shift like sand, and every revelation, from hidden heirs to boardroom conspiracies, tightens the noose around the Turners’ necks. A remarkable debut novel.”
